About the role
Malmsbury Youth Justice Precinct delivers a nurse-led, 24/7 health service that supports the wellbeing of young people through integrated primary, allied, dental, and mental health care. As a Registered Nurse, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to trauma-informed, culturally safe, and person-centred care. This role is about more than clinical skill — it's about connection, advocacy, and supporting healthier futures in a custodial setting. You'll work a rotating roster across all shifts, backed by a supportive team that values compassion, resilience, and making a real difference.

Your duties include:

  • Undertake triage and screening of clients to ensure appropriate care
  • Documents patient medical history
  • Maintains accurate electronic health records
  • Perform physical examinations and the provision of clinical care, as required and directed by GP

Our ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor of Nursing and current registration with AHPRA
  • Completion of training in the facilitation of supervision and/ or reflective practice
  • Experience in the delivery of group and individual interventions using a Human Rights approach
  • Strong belief and personal alignment in cohealth Values and Mission
